  • Teacher professional development is a journey, and Facilitators progress through it at their own individual pace through a well-structured Professional Development Program at Saphhire International School.
  • Different facilitators will be at different phases of their developmental journey and will have different developmental needs. Within each phase, the learning experiences are holistic and complete to the point that they can help teachers bring about sustained change in their practice and move on to the next phase.
  • The school understands the need for facilitators to be able to nurture a positive classroom environment and implement relevant curricula with care and understanding. It encourages teachers to become competent and reflective individuals with the ability to drive educational improvement. Platforms for peer learning with mentoring and coaching are provided at regular intervals.
  • A well-thought-out school-based induction for the new facilitators, in which they get to learn about the vision and practices of the school, the expectations from them, their expectations, and the nature of the support required is an integral part of the SIS Induction Program.
  • Facilitators are also engaged in wholesome learning activities for their own growth.
  • The Appraisals are developmental in nature rather than summative and encourage facilitators to grow on their developmental continuum.
